Two versions of the RX150 were produced concurrently. This version with an alder body was sold in Europe through 1995. Another version with a resoncast body was introduced in 1995 and sold for two years in Japan as well as markets throughout Asia and South America. This RX150 features an alder body bolted to a maple neck with a 22-fret rosewood fingerboard with dot position markers. Components include a chrome synchronized tremolo bridge and Ibanez pickups. This RX150 was discontinued after 1995.
