Nerd Squadron was a fighter squadron formed by Bergen Nelson to combat the Sith Lord Darth Pathos. It consisted of twelve members at a time. They continued to fight after the war and performed their own vigilante missions for the Jedi Order or the Republic. It consisted of a variety of types. Jedi, former smugglers, and some hotshot pilots. They flew "Nerd Fighters", or N-17s also and dubbed themselves Nerd Squadron after the common name given to the founders on their home planet. The squadron was a main contender in the War against Darth Pathos, and was eventually the squadron that was able to rally the Jedi and the Republic to fight against the Sith.
