The Republic has several sub-factions including the Republic Armed Forces most notable the 3rd Mechanized stationed on New Alderaan, the S.I.S. (Strategic Information Service) which is Republic Intelligence and the Senate Guard. It also has ties with the JedI Order and the Antarian Rangers though these last two operate with some independence much like they did in the Old Republic.
