The National Counterproliferation Center (NCPC), which resides within the ODNI, is the bridge from the Intelligence Community (IC) to the policy community for activities within the U.S. Government associated with countering the proliferation of weapons of mass destruction (WMD). NCPC conducts strategic counterproliferation planning for the IC to support policy efforts to prevent, halt, or mitigate the proliferation of WMDs, their delivery systems, and related materials and technologies.
