Nelzik was a female Tzenkethi scientist. Soon after the discovery of the Bajoran wormhole, Nelzik began research into creating an artificial wormhole for the Tzenkethi Coalition. After the formation of the Typhon Pact, Nelzik developed a way to use the Bajoran wormhole itself to allow travel through it from the Vir-Akzelen asteroid. Although Nelzik's attempt worked, she was killed when the wreckage of the IRW Vetruvis came through the wormhole and collided with her lab. (ST - Typhon Pact novel: Raise the Dawn)
