These insurgents were from the planet Yag'Dhul. In 5 BBY, they attracted the attention of the Galactic Empire, which sent forces with the Imperial I-class Star Destroyer Desolator to attack the insurgents. In the ensuing battle, the insurgents were defeated, however, as the Imperials were distracted by a group of gamblers who had been betting on the skirmish—the Imperials mistakenly believed them to have been supplying intelligence to the insurgents—they attacked the gamblers as well, allowing many of the insurgents' starfighters to escape into hyperspace.
