The Battle of Ruan, also called the Bombing of Ruan, was a small conflict during the Alsakan Crisis on Ruan a few weeks after the initial First Battle of Coruscant. Carried out by the Skeleton Guard at the behest of the Alsakan Union, the Skeleton Guard under the command of Alsakan Major Venator Furtificus were commissioned to attack Ruan. Furtificus was given a large fleet in order to capture the planet, but after events in other concurrent planetary battles do not go as the Alsakans had desired, troops were pulled out of Furtificus's fleet and redirected to where the Alsakans needed them most. Depleted to a smaller fleet, the Alsakans altered the plans for Ruan, deciding only to destroy the planet rather than capture it.
