CDS Péridot was an Améthyste-class heavy cruiser of the Cascan Defense Force. Originally built in the Republic of Haven as RHNS Péridot, she was sold to the government of the Casca System during the great starship sale in the Secour System in 1529 PD. When Wolfe Guzarwan and his band of criminals tried to steal the Havenite battlecruiser RHNS Saintonge, Péridot saw her first action under Cascan flag, destroying the freighter Wanderer. (MA1)
