The AR200FM features a mahogany body with a flamed maple top with binding mated to a set-in maple neck with a 22-fret rosewood fingerboard with dot inlays. Components include dual Ibanez Artcore humbucking pickups with individual volume and tone controls and an Artcore fixed bridge. The AR200 model from a few years previous was somewhat similar but lacked the flamed maple top.
