The Nurse carried out Tricia Armstrong's scan and blood test when she was pregnant with Brad. As the father was the absent Terry Duckworth, his mother Vera accompanied Tricia on the appointment and was as thrilled as her at the scan of the baby that the Nurse produced. Having been worried by fellow patient Alice's warnings should she fail the blood test, Tricia asked the Nurse for more information. The Nurse was able to allay her fears, telling her failure would only mean a slight chance of a problem with the baby, and Tricia would be asked in for another test.
