The Assistant System Administrator assists the System Administrator in managing the Schools mail, web, file, and imaging servers; coordinating LAN management, and ensuring adequate backups of servers and desktop computers critical to the Schools operation. This position also assists the System Administrator in evaluating, configuring, and administering a broad range of server-based tools for teaching, learning, and operating the School, including but not limited to online calendaring, course management, remote technical support tools, and special projects as assigned. S/he also provides basic skill set redundancy for server management emergencies.
