The Bates' Atlantis Reconnaissance Team is the third team of the Atlantis expedition. Since 2005 after the Battle of Atlantis, it is known that Bates returned to Earth for treatment and subsequently accepted the post given to him as IOA Field Operations Division. Who is leading the team now or was it disbanded and a new team were formed is still currently unknown. (SG1: "Underground")
