Doctor Ecile Vergesso was a female Corellian scientist. Approximately 150 years before the Battle of Yavin, Vergesso explored an asteroid field in the Lybeya system. She also established a research station on the largest asteroid where she worked until 3 ABY. After her departure, space pirates took over the facility. The asteroid field was later named after her: Vergesso Asteroids.
