The former CEO of Stark Industries and son of the founder, Howard Stark, Anthony "Tony" Stark has since become better known to the world as Iron Man. Stark Industries' tech, and Tony/Iron Man, are often mentioned in Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.. For example, after receiving the results of his medical in "FZZT", Coulson mentions that his iron count is a little high, but May doesn't have to start calling him 'Iron Man', and in "0-8-4", Coulson refers to Stark as a consultant, drawing a parallel with Skye.
