Sir George Whitmore (died 12 December 1654) was Lord Mayor of London 1631 A member of the Worshipful Company of Haberdashers, of which he was master 1622, being also Sheriff of London at the time. Whitmore was the brother-in-law of Sir William Craven (Lord Mayor of London) who was Lord Mayor in 1611. His daughter married Sir John Robinson, 1st Baronet, of London, of London who was Lord Mayor in 1662 Article in Wikipedia [1], and some more information here [2].
