Some people think that sentences should not end in a preposition. While it is true that many sentences can be improved by following this rule, there are other places where it does not work well. Three places where it may work better to end a sentence with a preposition are (1) in passive expressions or sentences, (2) relative clauses, and (3) questions including a verb that links to a preposition.
