The barrows defender is the strongest defender available (tied with the Crystal defender). It is used for its attack bonus and is held in the off-hand slot, in place of a shield. It requires 70 Attack and 70 Defence to wield. Barrows defender is dropped by the powerful Barrows dragon after players have shown their Dragon defender to Kamfreena. Ring of wealth does not affect the chances of getting it as a drop. A barrows defender is commonly combined with a Dragon scimitar, Abyssal whip or a Chaotic longsword for its strength and attack bonus.
