William Hedges was a Manticoran citizen and an officer of the Royal Manticoran Marine Corps. Holding the rank of Lieutenant, he was in command of the Second Platoon of the marine detachment aboard the heavy cruiser HMS Hexapuma. He was killed aboard the pinnace Hawk-Papa-One when it was fired upon by the Jessyk Combine freighter Marianne. (SI1)
