The Austrian National League (German: Österreichisches Nationalliga) is an Austrian association football league and is the highest division of play in Austria. It has sixteen teams with a relegation system that allows the top team of the Football Confederation (Fussballbund) to join the National League every season while the bottom club is demoted to the lower division. The season is played from March until November, and the champion is determined in a four-team playoff, unlike other football leagues which use a points system. The reigning champion is SV Shiffbau Triest.
