Health insurance refers to an organisation (public or private) that pays for health care when someone is ill. Some health insurance is provided by private companies, and some health insurance is provided by public institutions (such as the government). Health insurance may pay for all or part of the costs of treatment. Some insurance differentiates between medical conditions and mental disorders. Others treat both these conditions similarly in terms of payment.
