Woodmoths were a species of moth found in the Deepwoods. They were sensitive to emotions around them, and their wings changed colors to reflect the mood they sensed. Their wings were sometimes used to make Sense-Sifters. Magda Burlix, a librarian knight, chose a woodmoth to be the figure of her skycraft in The Last Of The Sky Pirates because she was also writing her treatise about the iridescent wings of the moth.
