A boasa was a type of statuary native to the planet of Alderaan. After the Death Star destroyed the planet, boasas became extremely rare in the galaxy. The Jenet criminal syndicate known as the Invisible Shell acquired a set of ten boasas, which it displayed at the Pearl Island Casino on Pavo Prime. New Republic Intelligence learned of the statues and told Leia Organa Solo, a survivor of the destruction of Alderaan. She led a delegation to Pavo Prime to negotiate for the statues with the leader of the Invisible Shell, Ludlo Lebauer.
