Forest of Blades was a kata of the Mirumoto, who were able to attack ferociously with his blades leaping out at the enemy. In defence, his second blade crossed in a weave with his katana until there was no weakness left undefended. The bushi learned to swirl both of his blades in crossing paths without them crashing into each other. He continued this motion as he walked slowly in a circle. The kata helped the bushi by augmenting the basic maneuvers he had learned, forming a better defense.
