He is a private detective who was hired by Clifford Widmore to find his brother Zander. He has a dog, a chocolate lab named Argos who he shares with his friend Manny Weissman. He lives in New York, and his family heritage is Basque. When travelling to Australia on a midnight flight to find Alexander, he meets a flight attendant named Cindy.
