Alkindar is a town in Altara, located on west bank of the River Eldar on the Great North Road, between Ebou Dar and Lugard. Alkindar has a companion town called Coramen, which is on the east bank of the Eldar. There is a ferry that connects the two towns. When Valan Luca's Traveling Show is traveling through Altara, they pass through Alkindar and take the ferry across to Coramen. Despite the heavy presence of Seanchan troops on both sides of the river, Tuon Athaem Kore Paendrag keeps her word to Matrim Cauthon not to betray them.
