Northwarden was a barony in the Kingdom of the Isles, a stone fortress keep up on a small peak, the oldest of the Border Baronies established by the Kingdom to guard the passes through the Teeth of the World to guard the Northern Marches. The city dominates one of the three major passes through the eastern half of the Teeth of the World. Around winds the Northland's Door pass.
