Herik is a trader of rare items that first appeared in 438, for N'eroth's coronation. As soon as he got to Mirith, however, he was struck by love. Opal's charm, as well as the feather beds at her inn, made him reconsider his wandering life from festival to festival. Eventually, he was named Royal Herald by the King, thanks to his skills playing the trumpet. In spite of his new appointment, Herik has not completely abandoned his former profession, and will still happily trade rings for spoons, jars for hand axes, and the finest fishing poles for the sturdiest centaur hand hazes.
