Final Fantasy is an Nintendo Entertainment System video game initially released in 1987 on the Famicom (the Japanese equivalent to the NES). It is without a doubt one of the best known role-playing video games. It has spawned sequels, spin-offs and influenced various video games, though itself influenced by Dragon Quest. In 2004 the game was recreated and released as a compilation with Final Fantasy II on the Game Boy Advance, though has been released a multitude of other times on other, non-Nintendo systems.
