The Fokirio or Earth-Folk were a small statured people believed to be akin to the Halflings or Hobbits of the Westlands.They inhabited a region known as Banakan, a wooded Valley between Helcar Sael, Karn Ord and northern Aegan. The Fokirio were more savage than Hobbits and insular, rarely leaving their woodland homes, and believed to have developed the ability to speak directly from mind-to-mind, without words. They were seen as beings of old legend by the Wômaw who referred to them as the Ghostwise.
