The Box of Eden was a relic that was buried in a temple in Japan. Mammon convinced Ben Nakadai to unlock it for him. The box was then given to Albert Simmons to create an illusion that Eden could be created where he could live with Wanda Blake once more. However, when al relinquished control of Hell for Eden, Cogliostro took up the helm and revealed it was a trick to grant him the power to rule hell.
