Ghost in the Shell: Stand Alone Complex is an anime. The show's original United States airing was on Cartoon Network's Adult Swim block. In Japan, it was first broadcast on the pay-per-view Animax channel. The premise follows the investigation of the Laughing Man incident by Public Security Section 9, led by Motoko Kusanagi.
