A Green Lantern's widow, Sheriff Mardin took up her husband's mantle after he lost his life in service to the Green Lantern Corps. Her sector's criminals recently formed an interplanetary conglomerate, and Mardin has put in requests for Oan support several times, specifically the Honor Guard of the Corps. Sheriff Mardin hardly ever uses her power ring, solving the problems of her planet's pioneers using her wits and practical nature. When she does have to use the ring, though, she tries to avoid flying as the experience doesn't agree with her bio-chemistry.
