On January 23, 2014, Ragano along with Bonanno acting boss/underboss Thomas DiFiore, capo Jerome Asaro, soldier/acting capo Giacomo Bonventre and ruling member of the Bonanno crime family Vincent Asaro were arrested on various charges of racketeering, extortion, robbery and solicitation to murder.
