Olds was a Grayson citizen and a priest of the Church of Humanity Unchained. In the early 20th Century PD, he served as Ship's Chaplain aboard GNS Francis Mueller, an obsolete heavy cruiser that the Grayson Space Navy used to get rid of incompetent officers and crewmen. Olds suffered from a mild case of insomnia, combined with a very vivid imagination. As a result, he kept on praying over Francis Mueller's internal com system, making up all kinds of ways for the ship and crew to perish. He also once contracted a sexually transmitted disease.
