CAWS (Chuckling At Work Station) was brought about in 2007 by a group of Melbourne friends involved in a series of group emails. CAWS designed to bring about a differentiation and more accurate reflection of ones current state at work. As it can be awkward & embarassing to Laugh Out Loud (LOL) when you are surrounded by a group of colleagues. The terms LOL, ROLF & ROLFMAO can sometimes become misleading as many a time the person is not accurately describing their current state.
