Deutscher Sportverein Leoben was an ice hockey team situated in Leoben, Austria. The club began playing ice hockey in 1927, although its exact foundation date is unknown. DSV was at first a temporary member of the Austrian Ice Hockey Federation during the 1927-28 and 1928-29 seasons, before becoming a full member in 1929. Initially, the club mostly played in friendly matches against other Austrian and other European teams as there was no championship in existence in the Provincial/Styrian region of Austria. In 1928-29, they played in the Styrian Championship, finishing second.
