The South china cookiecutter shark (Isistius labialis) is a species of dogfish shark in the family Dalatiidae, found in the South China Sea at depths down to 520 m (1,700 ft). It is named from its feeding style which often creates perfect "cookie-cutter" shaped plugs in the skin of large marine mammals and large sharks. Reproduction is aplacental viviparity in the same way as great white sharks.
