The Advanced Appendage Bus (AAB) was a controversial, due to it being proprietary, interface for droid appendages that was created by Cybot Galactica. Supporting software for the bus was developed in a droid research institute on Coruscant. It was meant to succeed the Universal Socket Interface on Cybot's droids.
