Robotics Research Grants are a policy where the government grants scientists money for researching robotics. These grants will immediately provide a small reduction in Unemployment as more researchers are hired by firms receiving the grants. As time goes on, the automation provides by the boost in robotics research will raise the level of Technology and increase worker Productivity. However, this automation removes the need for many unskilled jobs involving manual labor, so this policy upsets Trade Unionists and - if the grants are above 16% - will eventually cause more Unemployment than it removed.
