[Source] A security lock was a device that restricted access to areas of importance. Imperials extensively employed security locks. Security locks opened when the proper code was entered usually issued via a code cylinder that used a scomp link, though some locks allowed users to enter the code manually. Other security locks used retinal, fingerprint, or voice scans to confirm an individual's identity. Electronic lock breakers, anti-security blades, and electroshock probes were some of only tools that could fool a security lock.
