The Rochester-class was a Starfleet starship class taken out of service several decades before the 2280s. In the 2280s, Nykkus pirates stole a Rochester-class ship and used it to steal FL-70 Falcons and then attack a Klingon outpost. (TOS - The Captain's Table novel: War Dragons)
