Tera Franklin (born Tera O'Herlihy) was a female Human in the 21st century and the daughter of Jocelyn and Marcus O'Herlihy. In the year 2020, Tera was kidnapped by the Human Extinction League, with whom she had become involved in college. The HEL used Tera to force her father to sabotage the USS Lewis & Clark's mission, though he was stopped by James Kirk. Kirk then went to Earth and rescued Tera from the HEL's compound. Later in life, Tera was involved in the Ares IV exploration program. (TOS novel: The Rings of Time)
