After the battle of Endor, he decided that he had to become the new emperor. He escaped to Kamino in his Star Destroyer, where he took over with his stormtroopers. He then used the cloning facilites to build a huge army. In 6 ABY, he attacked Fondor, overunning it with his TIE Bombers and numerous stormtroopers. He built more ships and took over most of the Outer Rim. It was here he met Darth Maledicam, a self–trained Sith. Calumnia, realizing the possibilities of using this man, asked him to join his army. Darth Maledicam agreed.
