Darwin is an F-class binary star system located in the Milky Way Galaxy, 6.5 light years from the Sol System. There are six planets orbiting the binary star, one of which, Darwin IV, is inhabited by many different native lifeforms. The other planets are gas giants which have no known moons. The two stars of the Darwin System are located very close to each other, resulting that they often appear like a single sun when seen from the planet.
