The New Coalition was a warlord faction of the Galactic Empire formed by High General Delak Azarin following the splitting of the Empire with Emperor Palpatine's death at Endor in 4 ABY. It controlled two sectors up until 10 ABY, when the New Republic carried out an offensive into the Coalition's territory. General Azarin was killed and his faction was dissolved. During it's reign over the two sectors, the New Coalition was largely viewed neutrally by the residents due to General Azarin's generally benevolent rule. The Coalition's fleet was composed of Imperial I-class Star Destroyers, with the flagship being the Usurper. The Coalition army was made up of Imperial Army troopers, and a contingent of stormtroopers as the General's guard.
