David Baldwin is a mundane man who is the son of Mary Baldwin and her first husbannd, and adopted by Jim Baldwin. He is the brother of Karen Baldwin and step-brother of Sean Baldwin. He has blond hair, and had brown eyes. His eyes turned from brown to green when he saw Cholorine's green panties. He had a pet cat named Midrange. He and his family helped save Xanth from overexposure of magic dust by containing Happy Bottom after being stranded there. They traveled with Nimby and Chlorine.
