A magnabolter was a piece of manufacturing equipment used in factories towards the end of the Old Republic. This device would place a slug of hot metal into a pre-drilled hole in large sections of metal framework. The magnabolter would then flatten the ends of the slugs before they cooled to solidly join the two pieces of framework together.
