The Eternal Sword, the Sword of Time, is the result of combining three artifacts of the ancient civilizations of Thor, Fenrir, and Odin. The party seeks this goal to combat Dhaos' time-traveling powers, as his castle is protected by a time barrier preventing access. Gathering Odin's treasure, the Fire Sword Flamberge from the Tower of Flames, Fenrir's Ice Sword Vorpal Blade from the Cave of Ice, and Thor's Diamond Ring, the party subdues and forms a pact with the Spirit Origin, who grudgingly combines the three into the Eternal Sword. The Eternal Sword, combined with Origin's power, allows Origin's summoner to view an event from the past. Claus F. Lester uses it to see Milard Rune teaching students. Cress Albane uses it to pin down Dhaos's Castle so that he and his party can storm it and d
