Tal was a Human male Jedi Master active during the New Sith Wars. He was considered one of the greatest Jedi of his time. As a young man, he had explored the stars, and had once been in love with a woman who had died long before the Seventh Battle of Ruusan. During the Ruusan campaign, he urged Lord Hoth to call off the attack, to no avail. Tal died in the Seventh Battle of Ruusan, and was buried in the Valley of the Jedi.
