Nina Wilcox Putnam (born November 28, 1888 A.D in New Haven, Connecticut, died March 11, 1962 A.D in Cuernavaca, Mexico ) was an American writer responsible for the original story that would go on to become The Mummy. Beginning her life as Nina Wilcox, Wilcox Putnam began writing for a children's comic series entitled Sunny Funny Bunny and went on to marry Robert Faulkner Putnam, writing pieces for the Saturday Evening Post.
